Postdoctoral Position in Computational Biomedicine at RWTH Aachen, Germany

A postdoctoral position is available in the Joint Research Center for Computational Biomedicine in Aachen,  a joint initiative of RWTH Aachen, Aachen University Hospital, and Bayer Technology Services.

Our research spans  the  areas of pharmacogenomics,  analysis of  signal transduction networks, and systems pharmacology with a focus on oncology and multiple sclerosis. Candidates with an interest to work at the interface of computational science, biomedicine and pharmacology are encouraged to apply.  They are expected to hold a degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science. A degree in biological science with substantial experience in computational and statistical work is also possible. They should feel comfortable interacting with others in an interdisciplinary setting, since research will run in close collaboration with experimental groups.

There is no strict deadline, but priority will be given to applications done by March 1st. Starting date is also relatively flexible, ideally in May 2016.  Interested candidates should send their CV (including names of references) and a letter of interest to jobs@combine.rwth-aachen.de including “Saez Group” in the email subject. The letter of interest has to be tailored to our group and explicitly mention where and how you could fit in our research.
