Postdoctoral Position in Computational Cancer Biology and Translational Systems Biology, Stuttgart, Germany

A Postdoctoral Researcher position (E13/100%) in translational systems biology is available at the Institute of Cell Biology and Immunology at the University of Stuttgart.

The overall objective of this project is to develop and validate novel mathematical models of cellular signalling processes that play roles in cancer development, progression and treatment responsiveness. Experience with modern data analysis tools and programming environments (such as MatLab and/or R) is required.  Further tasks include the analysis of existing proteomic data and clinical patient data using systems biological strategies. This comprises applying and refining pre-validated systems models that have shown potential as novel prediction tools for treatment optimisation and personalisation in skin and colon cancer patients.

The position is available from August 1 st 2016, initially for 3 years.

Application deadline: 30 June, 2016
