Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biophysics/Computational Biology, Dublin, Ireland

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Biophysics / Computational Biology.

The position will be affiliated with the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics and the RCSI Centre for Systems Medicine. The RCSI Centre for Systems Medicine is a translational research centre which identifies genes, proteins and metabolites implicated in human disease, and utilizes systems biology and mathematical approaches in order to develop new therapies and prognostic tools for the treatment of cancer, neurological disorders and diabetes. The Department is responsible for education in Physics and Physiology in Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy and is active in postgraduate teaching, including structured PhD programmes.

A dynamic individual, with a proven academic track record, is sought to develop the research and education missions of the Department, and to lead an independent research programme in biophysics, systems biology or systems medicine to enhance the Centre’s contribution to RCSI’s Translational Research ambitions.
