Postdoc Position in Computational Biomedicine in Aachen, Germany

A postdoctoral position is open in the group of Julio Saez-Rodriguez at the Joint Research Center for Computational Biomedicine, an initiative of RWTH Aachen, Aachen University Hospital, and Bayer Technology Services.
Our research spans the areas of pharmacogenomics, signaling networks, and systems pharmacology, with a focus on applications in oncology. Candidates interested in working at the interface of computational science, biomedicine and pharmacology are encouraged to apply. You are expected to hold a degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science. Previous experience with biological data is beneficial. A degree in biological science with substantial experience in computational and statistical work is also possible. You should feel comfortable interacting in an interdisciplinary setting, since research runs in close collaboration with experimental groups.
We welcome applicants interested broadly in our research, but we are particular looking for a postdoc to work within the EU-H2020 PrECISE project that we co-coordinate, to combine hypothesis-driven with data-driven analysis in a novel mathematical and computational methodology for the integration of genomic, epigenetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and clinical data, applied to prostate cancer.
There is no strict deadline, but priority will be given to applications by July 1st. Starting date is also flexible, ideally by September 2016.
