On behalf of the e:Med Project Committee, you are cordially invited to the e:Med Meeting 2016 that will take place on October 04 – 06 at the Audimax of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel.
e:Med is a new large-scale research program on Systems Medicine, funded for 8 years by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). e:Med brings together leading scientists and exceptional young researchers from all over Germany in the emerging field of Systems Medicine. Systems medicine uses interdisciplinary systems-oriented research on diseases to create a basis for understanding complex physiological and pathological processes for development of innovative personalised diagnosis, therapies, and preventive measures. Key to the appropriate analysis and possibly to the modelling of Big Data derived from information levels such as Genomics, Proteomics and Metabolomics is electronic processing (e:Med) i.e. computerised archiving, analysis and integration of data.
This years’ main disease topics will focus on Infection & Inflammation as well as Neuropsychiatric Disorders and comprises the following cross-topic issues:
- Disease Manifestation
- Heterogeneity of Disease
- Therapy Response Prediction
Beside panel discussions, poster presentations and networking events, select companies will present the latest technological achievements during expositions and workshops.
There will be no conference fee, but registration is mandatory.
