de.NBI Summer School 2017 – Computational genomics and RNA biology, Sept. 2017, Germany

The German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) Summer School in computational genomics and RNA biology will take place between September 25-29, 2017 at the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) part of the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), Berlin, Germany.

The course will cover fundamental topics in computational genomics and RNA biology. There will be theoretical lectures followed by practical sessions where students directly apply what they have learned. The data analysis part will be mainly done on Galaxy platform, therefore there is no strict requirement for prior knowledge of programming. Although, prior knowledge of basic statistics and modelling will be useful for some modules. The course will be beneficial for first year computational biology PhD students, and experimental biologists and medical scientists who want to begin data analysis or are seeking a better understanding of computational genomics and RNA Biology.

Application deadline: July 01, 2017
